<br />) <br /> <br />:) <br /> <br />April 19., 1971 <br /> <br />Tom Harsted., manufacturer's representative for Rockwell Parking Meters, <br />gave the Council information on advantages and:disadvantages of Parking <br />meters, and their effect on the business area of a community, using stat- <br />istics compiled at Cambridge, where meters were installed in 1959. <br /> <br />The quotations on one flail mower and one electric knife or blade shar- <br />pener were received by the Council. The Council accepted the lowest <br />quotation of $633.50, which was made by Arnold Equip, inc., St. Cloud, Mn. <br /> <br />The Council approved building Permits for Donald Beaudry, Roger T. Hanson, <br />Dale Elliot, Central Lutheran Church, and Fleetwood Const. Company. The <br />Fleetwood Const. Company permit was approved, subject to approval of <br />Lester Derr. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and Seconded by Councilman Hudson to proceed <br />with the purchase of Houlton's strip of land for the sum of $500. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Konop and Seconded by Councilman otto to retain the <br />services of Peter Racchini and Associates Architectural firm to design <br />a new fire station. Motion Unanimously carried.. <br /> <br />The Clerk was instructed by the ,council to find out from the Village <br />attorney about the legal methods of having the Village accept donations <br />for a swimming pool. <br /> <br />The Council tabled the topic of installing a smoke eoonission system in <br />the onsale portion of the Municipal Liquor Store. <br /> <br />The Council authorized the Clerk to purchase a vacumn Cleaner for an amount <br />of$21.95.for use in the Village Hall. <br /> <br />No further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />;:{~'A/ ,fJ" Pe4~~! <br /> <br />Larry .
