General Expenses of $31,608 are 118% more than the prior year, but are 30% below budget. <br />YTD costs are more than the prior year by 55% but are less than budget by 43%. The main <br />driver causing the prior YTD variance is CIP Rebates being fully funded from ERMU. <br />For expenses, in total YTD are 3% more than the prior year, but are in line with budget. <br />For April 2019, the Electric Department has a Net Profit of $42,462 and YTD Net Profit of <br />$534,199. This falls short of the budgeted monthly Net Profit of $50,438, and is less than the <br />prior year monthly Net Profit of $292,183. This does however exceed the budgeted YTD Net <br />Profit of $351,783, but is less than the prior YTD Net Profit of $832,920. <br />Water <br />April's gallons of water sold are flat from the prior year. For further breakdown: <br />• Residential use is down 1% <br />• Commercial use is up 1% <br />Water Operating Revenues for April of $121,237 are above of the prior year by 3% and ahead of <br />budget by 13%. YTD is ahead of prior year by 4% and is also ahead of budget by 13%. <br />Other Revenues of $35,120 are below the prior year by 57% but are ahead of prior YTD by 3%. <br />Other Revenues are ahead of YTD budget by 18%. <br />Overall, Total Revenues of $156,358 are below prior year by 21% but are ahead of prior YTD by <br />3%. YTD Total Revenues are ahead of budget by 15%. <br />Total Expenses of $212,466 are more than the prior year by 1%, but are below YTD budget by <br />6%. <br />For April 2019, the Water Department has a Net Loss of ($56,108) (typical for the water <br />department) and YTD Net Loss of ($211,144). This is ahead of the budgeted monthly Net Loss <br />of ($85,045), but is behind the prior year monthly Net Loss of ($12,832).
