Other major changes to the tariff are the result of the reorganization of Schedule 3. In an effort
to simplify the interconnection process for customers, the documents included in this Schedule
are now organized by the size and/or complexity of the distributed energy resource seeking
interconnection. The new Schedule 3 also provides customers with the ability to zero in on the
information applicable to their system rather than working through all the information that
may not be applicable to what is being purposed.
The revisions and the reorganization of the Tariff have been reviewed by the MN DOC as a joint
effort with MMUA, MREA, and MMPA. As a result of the extensive revisions and reorganization,
ERMU staff believes it is best to adopt the proposed Policies, Rules, and Tariff by new
resolutions to completely replace the Policies, Rules, and Tariff adopted February 13, 2018.
It's important that the ERMU Commission adopt the new Policy, Rules, and Tariff because, by
doing so, it will preserve the right of the ERMU Commission to retain control over these issues.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
N/A
ATTACHMENTS:
• Resolution No. 19-4—Adopting the ERMU Distributed Energy Resources and Net
Metering Policy; and the ERMU Rules Governing the Interconnection of Cogeneration
and Small Power Production Facilities Policy
• Proposed ERMU Policy—E.12—Distributed Generation and Net Metering Policy
• Proposed ERMU Policy—E.12a—Rules Governing the Interconnection of Cogeneration
and Small Power Production Facilities
• Resolution No. 19-5—Adopting the ERMU Cogeneration and Small Power Production
Tariff which includes the Distributed Energy Resource Interconnection Process
• Proposed ERMU Policy—E.12b—Cogeneration and Small Power Production Tariff
Page 2 of 2
58
