Planning Commission Page 4 <br />March 26, 2019 <br />----------------------------- <br />Commissioner Thiel stated teleworking still means it is an incidental use because the <br />majority of time you’re using the residence as a home. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jordan stated he still didn’t feel it would be enforced that way if you <br />have a nasty neighbor. <br /> <br />Mr. Leeseberg stated the way the ordinance reads right now has no criteria and <br />commented that noise is finicky and what might be consider pleasant music to one <br />may drive another crazy. He stated he was hesitant to exclude home office from <br />requiring a home occupation permit. <br /> <br />Co-Chair Larson-Vito stated she would be open to excluding home office <br />occupations from requiring a home occupation permit. <br /> <br />Commissioner Rydberg stated if you’re talking about music lessons, exercise classes, <br />etc., these home owners would have the sense to close their windows if they’re <br />getting complaints to avoid getting police involved. <br /> <br />Co-Chair Larson-Vito stated she felt there are two scenarios: one of an otherwise <br />quiet resident who has a nasty neighbor who’s complaining about them, or someone <br />who’s being too loud and she feels like could be handled with a phone call but <br />instead police would need to become involved. <br /> <br />Commissioner Beise asked questions about how the current ordinance is written. <br /> <br />Mr. Leeseberg explained the history about this ordinance. He stated he agrees to <br />separate some of these occupations out if they’re able. <br /> <br />Moved by Commissioner Jordan and seconded by Commissioner Rydberg to <br />postpone action on the Ordinance Amendment for Home Occupations until <br />April 23, 2019, to allow staff to review language in other city’s home <br />occupation ordinances and bring back suggestions to the Planning <br />Commission for review. <br /> <br />Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br /> <br />6.3 River Walk – 17354 Zane St. NW ~ continued from February 25, 2019 <br /> Zone Change – from FAST to PUD, Case No. ZC 18-05 <br /> Conditional Use Permit to Establish a PUD, Case No. CU 18-15 <br /> <br />Mr. Carlton presented the staff report noting the applicant had withdrawn the <br />applications and no action from the Planning Commission was required. <br /> <br /> <br />
