1 <br />City of Otsego - Dispatch Agreement <br />AGREEMENT <br />This Dispatch Agreement (Agreement) is entered into this XX day of March, 2019, by and between <br />the City of Otsego (the City), the City of Albertville Fire Department, the City of Elk River Fire <br />Department and the City of Rogers Fire Department (the Fire Departments) and the Wright County <br />Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center (Dispatch Center) is a voluntary Agreement for the Fire <br />Departments to respond to simultaneous dispatching in order to allow for a timely response to <br />confirmed structure fires within the City. <br />RECITALS <br />WHEREAS, the City contracts with the Fire Departments for fire protection services; and <br />WHEREAS, the Dispatch Center communicates with the Fire Departments. <br />IT IS HEREBY AGREED BY AND BETWEEN THE PARTIES AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Upon receiving a call for service to any confirmed structure fire within the City, the <br />Dispatch Center shall automatically dispatch the Fire Departments through the appropriate <br />dispatch centers regardless of a confirmed structure fire location. <br />2. Automatic dispatching shall be effective 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. <br /> <br />3. The department whose fire protection area covers the confirmed structure fire shall <br />follow their standard operating procedures (SOPs). The other two departments shall <br />respond with an engine company, unless further assistance is requested by the incident <br />commander. <br /> <br />4. The Incident Commander from the responsible Fire Department shall be responsible for <br />determining which other Fire Departments may be needed for mutual aid response to <br />locations within the City and must provide this information to their respective dispatch <br />centers. The Incident Commander may also cancel the responding Fire Departments. <br /> <br />5. Any party to this Agreement may withdraw upon sixty (60) days written notice to all other <br />parties to the Agreement. <br /> <br /> <br />
