Planning Commission Minutes
October 8, 2002
Page 2

e

Commissioner Anderson asked if there were any issues regarding traffic, as the driveway
entry into the Saxon facility is offset from the NAP A driveway. Mr. Saxon stated that the
driveways were offset to facilitate semi trucks backing into the NAP A facility.

Commissioner Jenson asked what the status of the land adjacent to the NAP A building was.
Ms. McPherson stated that there is a cart way under City ownership and an outlot under Mr.
Powell's ownership. It is unlikely that either will be developed, due to the size of the land.

Mr. Weicht stated that they do not want to stripe any additional spaces in the parking area, as
it is likely that there will be no drive aisles in the area questioned by the City Engineer. The
applicant desires to have the ability to do "creative parking and merchandising" in the
parking lot.

MOTION BY COMMISSIONER ANDERSON, SECONDED BY
COMMISSIONER FRANZ, TO RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL
APPROVAL OF CASE NO.
