Commissioner Mesich opposed. <br /> <br />5.2. <br /> <br />Request by Elk River Municipal Utilities for Conditional Use Permit to Construct a <br />Municipal Well and Water Processing Facility. Case No. CU 01-21 <br /> <br />Staff report by Michele McPherson. Elk River Municipal Utilities requests approval of a <br />conditional use permit to allow construction of a well and water treatment facility. The <br />facility is proposed to be constructed on a remnant piece of property which the city <br />purchased for the Twin Lakes Boulevard (Tyler Street) road construction. The 26' x 74' <br />structure will be located south and east of Twin Lakes Boulevard, 50 feet from the property <br />line. There will be one driveway access which will be a "right-in, right-out" on Twin Lakes <br />Boulevard. Staff suggests some minor modifications to the pre-cast rake finished concrete <br />panels, in order to present a more residential design. A turn-around is suggested to provide <br />space for the employee checking the facility to maneuver in and out of the site. <br /> <br />. <br />
