ResCareoffersresidentialandsupportservices, <br />education, vocationaltrainingandjobplacement forpeopleofallagesandskilllevels. ResCareResidential <br />ServicesfocusesonpeoplewithdisabilitiesandyouthwithspecialneedsandResCareHomeCarehelpsseniors <br />whowanttoageinplace. ResCareWorkforceServicesandResCare EducationandTrainingServicesprovide <br />counseling, training, andjobplacementtopeopleofallageswithbarrierstoemployment. <br />ResCarealsohasapharmacycalledPharmacyAlternativesthatservespeoplewhohaveanintellectualand <br />developmentaldisabilities. PharmacyAlternativesisin31states, includingMinnesota. <br />ResCareAssured isahomemonitoringservicetohelpseniorsandindividualswithintellectualordevelopmental <br />disabilitiesremainsafelyintheirhomesandgainmoreindependence. Thisisanothercompanyownedby <br />ResCare anditsservicesareusedinMinnesota. <br />ResCareMinnesota, Inc. St. Paul <br />TheSt. Pauloperationprimarilyservespeoplewhohaveintellectual anddevelopmental disabilitiesthoughthey <br />doalsoservesomepeoplewhohaveamentalillness. Thisisoftenco-occurringwiththeintellectualand <br />developmentaldisabilities. TheSt. Pauloperationsmanageabout 40smallgrouphomesthroughouttheeastand <br />southmetroarea. <br />ResCareMinnesota, Inc. BrooklynCenter <br />Outspecificoperationworksexclusivelywithpersons whohaveamentalillness. Wearetheonlyoperationinall <br />ofResCaretoexclusively servethispopulation. <br />ResCareMinnesota, Inc. BrooklynCenterwaspurchasedfromaprivateproviderin2013. Thecompanyincluded <br />NorthwestResidenceinBrooklyn Center (startedin1982), CommunityOptionsFridley (startedin1986), <br />CommunityOptionsSt. Paul (startedin1996). In1990, SupportiveLivingServiceswasstartedinAnokaCountyto <br />provideCaseManagement, butbythetimeofthepurchase, theprogramwasanAssertiveCommunityTreatment <br />ACT) inHennepinCounty. <br />Sincethepurchase, wehaveaddedthreemoreIntensiveResidential TreatmentPrograms (IRTS) located in <br />HennepinCounty, RamseyCounty, andDakotaCounty. Inaddition, wehaveaddedanotherACTteamfor <br />Hennepin Countyandaprogramthathelpsclientsfindhousing. <br />Tohireandkeepgoodqualitystaffitisimportanttopayagoodwage. Duetotheprogramtype, wecanpaya <br />higherwagethanmosttypesofsocialserviceprograms. Thisallows ustohiremorequalifiedstaff. Wealsohave <br />aconsultingpsychiatrist whoprovidesconsultation fordifficultcases. HeiscurrentlyaneducatorattheUofM <br />departmentofpsychiatryandconsultsthroughoutMinnesota. WehaveverbalagreementtoworkwithNystrom <br />andAssociatestoprovide onlocationpsychiatricconsultation onaregularbasisforthepotentialprogram located <br />at633UplandAvenue. WewouldcallthelocationResCareRecoveryResidence. <br />Weprovide30hoursoftrainingpriortoanyonestartingatthelocation. Inaddition, weprovideagreatdealof <br />ongoingcontinuingeducationforclinicalstaff.
