Parks & Recreation Commission Minutes Page 3 <br />November 14, 2018 <br />7. Parks and Recreation Director Update <br />Mr. Hecker presented his staff report. Mr. Hecker also thanked Commissioner Williams for his <br />leadership and hard work over the past year in support of the Active Elk River campaign. <br />8.1 Recreation Manager's Update <br />Mr. Benoit presented his staff report. Mr. Benoit also presented his power point on the 19s' <br />Annual Family Spooktacular 2018 pointing out that this year's event had record attendance. <br />8.2 Street and Park Superintendent Update <br />Mr. Sevcik presented his staff report. <br />Chair Anderson asked if the group remembered the discussions in the past about the park <br />signs being horizontal instead of vertical signs Mr. Sevcik presented. He stated, that the <br />vertical signs were not the ones approved by the Commission and requested if he could get a <br />copy of the commission recommendations regarding the wayfinding project. <br />Mr. Hecker explained that the City Council approved the vertical ones and the process of <br />installation is already underway. <br />9.
