Steve Wensman indicated that the issue <br />will be addressed prior to the City Council meeting. <br /> <br />Chair Cote opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />Arne Mach, owner of Gopher State Mini Storage, indicated he was present to <br />answer any questions the Commissioners had. <br /> <br />There being no further public comment. Chair Cote closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER THOMPSON MOVED TO RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE REQUEST <br />BY GOPHER STATE MINI STORAGE FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, PUBLIC <br />HEARING CASE NO. CU 99-10, WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS: <br /> <br />1. THAT THERE BE NO OUTSIDE STORAGE. <br /> <br />2. THE DRIVEWAYS LESS THAN 24 FEET WIDE BE POSTED ONE-WAY. <br /> <br />3. THAT ANY NEW SIGNS CONFORM TO THE ELK RIVER SIGN ORDINANCE AND <br />THAT A SIGN PERMIT IS OBTAINED PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF ANY NEW SIGNS. <br /> <br />4. THAT A TEN-FOOT DRAINAGE AND UTILITY EASEMENT BE GRANTED TO THE CITY <br />ALONG THE NORTH PROPERTY LINE. <br /> <br />5. THAT A FIVE-FOOT EASEMENT IS GRANTED TO THE CITY ACROSS THE SITE UNDER <br />THE RELOCATED UTILITY GUY-WIRE. <br /> <br />6. THAT WRITTEN PERMISSION IS GRANTED FROM THE ADJACENT PROPERTY <br />OWNERS IS PROVIDED PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION OR GRADING ON THEIR <br />PROPERTY. <br /> <br />7. THAT ALL CONCERNS OF THE CITY ENGINEER BE PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION OR <br />GRADING. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER MORRIS SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> <br />5. Discuss Landscape Ordinance <br /> <br />steve Wensman reviewed the draft landscape ordinance and parking & <br />loading ordinances with the members of the Planning Commission. It was the <br />consensus of the Commissioners to review the ordinances at a future workshop <br />meeting. Staff will incorporate the suggestions of the Commission for discussion <br />at a workshop this summer. <br /> <br />7. Adiournment <br />
