Care facility disputes OSHA findings <br />JOUPML-NEM <br />News Community Sports Entertainment Life More <br />12/16/18, 2:10 PM <br />Q <br />45° Search <br />Subscribe Now Log in <br />Care facility disputes OSHA <br />findings <br />Updated Oct 10, 2012 <br />By Eric Robinette, z.www.fairfield-echo.com <br />FAIRFI ELD — A nursing home fined by OSHA is disputing <br />allegations that it failed to protect employees from workplace <br />violence. <br />ResCare Ohio Inc. was cited by the Occupational Safety and <br />Health Administration for exposing employees to workplace <br />violence at the facility, which operates as Camelot Lake. OSHA <br />claimed workers have been exposed to physical assaults during <br />routine interaction with residents who have a history of violent <br />behavior. The agency last week proposed penalties of $8,700. <br />Felicia Hall, the executive director of ResCare Ohio Inc., said in <br />an email to the JournalNews, Monday, "We have scheduled a <br />conference with OSHA to discuss and resolve the issues. We <br />provide care for individuals with developmental, intellectual and <br />physical disabilities, many of whom are unable to move without <br />assistance.
