COMMISSIONER BRIGGS SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />9. C.5. Park Names. Final <br /> <br />Chair Kuester suggested taking a second look at the names that were finalized to make sure <br />that there are no changes. He then suggested that the Commission finalize the names of the <br />six parks that were left open for discussion at the last meeting. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER DANA ANDERSON MOVED TO APPROVE TO <br />RECOMMEND TO THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPTION OF THE REVISED <br />PARK NAMES. COMMISSIONER BRIGGS SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 6-0. <br /> <br />9. C.6. Park Map <br /> <br />Ms. McPherson presented a draft of the park map in detail, including legible street names. <br />The back of the map will include a series of photographs with a description of each park and <br />its amenities. Hillside City Park and Woodland Trails will be just two of the featured parks. <br />There will also be listed volunteer opportunities, reservations for park facilities, and various <br />regulations. Also to be added is the Commission's mission statement. <br /> <br />Ms. McPherson stated that they are getting very close to having the map go to print. <br /> <br />. 9.C.7. Park Department Subcommittee Report <br /> <br />Chair Kuester added the financial aspect to the work that has already been done by the other <br />members. He did meet Monday, August 6, with Ms. Lori Johnson and there is still work in <br />progress to obtain specific financial information that will be available in approximately one <br />week. Chair Kuester suggested that once that information is available, there will be a <br />follow-up meeting to incorporate that information into the work in progress. <br /> <br />10.
