A special meeting notice of the Park & Recreation <br />Commission for January 20th and 25th will be sent out. Commissioner Dana <br />Anderson noted that all Commissioners who are able to should attend the <br />January 25th City Council meeting to support their recommendation regarding <br />fees. <br /> <br />Steve Wensman distributed copies of the City of Albertville's Park Land and Trail <br />Dedication Requirements Ordinance. The ordinance will be reviewed by the <br />Commissioners and discussed at the next meeting of the Park & Recreation <br />Commission. <br /> <br />8.d. Snowmobiles on Paved Trails/Snowmobile Studs <br /> <br />The Commissioners discussed damage to paved trails caused by studded <br />snowmobiles. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER DAVE ANDERSON MOVED THE PARK AND RECREATION <br />COMMISSION RECOMMEND THAT THE CITY COUNCIL INITIATE AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDMENT BANNING STUDS ON SNOWMOBILES IN THE CITY LIMITS. <br />COMMISSIONER KUESTER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 8-0. <br /> <br />9a. Update on 12121/98 City Council Meetin<;:l <br /> <br />Commissioner Olson updated the Commissioners regarding issues addressed by <br />the City Council on December 21, 1998. <br /> <br />9b. <br /> <br />Update on 12/22/98 Plannina Commission Meetinq <br /> <br />Commissioner Reitsma provided an update on the December 22, 1998, Planning <br />Commission meeting which he attended. <br /> <br />10. Other Business <br /> <br />a. Discuss Policy for Absences from Park & Recreation Commission Meetinas <br />by Commissioners <br /> <br />Chair Huberty stated that City Council has suggested the Park & <br />Recreation Commission adopt a policy regarding absences by <br />Commissioners from regular meetings. Chair Huberty suggested that staff <br />prepare a draft of policies and procedures for review at their next <br />meeting. Discussion followed regarding an appropriate number of <br />excused and unexcused absences which would be acceptable. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER DAVE ANDERSON MOVED THAT THE PARK AND RECREATION <br />COMMISSION ACCEPT 4 EXCUSED ABSENCES AND 2 UNEXCUSED ABSENCES <br />PER YEAR FROM REGULAR MEETING ATTENDANCE BY PARK AND RECREATION <br />COMMISSIONERS. COMMISSIONER KUESTER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE <br />MOTION CARRIED 8-0. <br /> <br />Staff will prepare a policy and procedure draft for the Park & Recreation <br />Commissioners to review at the next regular meeting. <br />
