<br /> <br /> <br />December 20, 2018 <br />Justin Femrite, P.E. <br />Public Works Director/Chief Engineer <br />City of Elk River <br />13065 Orono Parkway <br />Elk River, MN 55330 <br /> <br />RE: Proposal for 2019 Street Improvements – Additional Engineering Services <br />Dear Mr. Femrite, <br />Bolton & Menk, Inc. appreciates the opportunity to submit this proposal for providing additional <br />engineering services for the roadway improvements added to the 2019 Street Improvements project. <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Our scope of services is based on our meeting on December 13, 2018, and includes 3.1 miles of roadway <br />improvements as follows: <br />1. Proctor Avenue NW – From Main Street to approximately 200 feet south of TH 10: <br />a. Full-depth reclamation, <br />b. Replace non-compliant ped-ramps, <br />c. No State Aid submittal, no loop detectors. <br />2. 193rd Avenue NW – From 250 feet east of Evans Street NW to Zane Street NW: <br />a. Tapermill and overlay roadway, <br />b. Replace non-compliant ped-ramps, <br />c. No State Aid submittal. <br />3. Concord Street NW – From Ranch Road NW to the northern limit: <br />a. Tapermill and overlay roadway. <br />4. Fresno Street NW – From Ranch Road NW to the southern limit: <br />a. Tapermill and overlay roadway. <br />5. Jarvis Street NW – From 223rd Avenue NW to the northern City limit: <br />a. Tapermill and overlay roadway. <br />6. 226th Lane NW, 226th Avenue NW, 226th Court, and Cleveland Avenue: <br />a. Tapermill and overlay roadway. <br />All tasks included in the original 2019 Street Improvements proposal will also apply to the additional <br />improvements listed above. <br />SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION <br />We estimate the construction cost of the above listed improvements at $950,000. We have also assumed <br />an 18 day construction schedule.
