<br />;..... <br />.""(~ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO ACQUIRE OPTION <br />FOR FIRE HALL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, This Council has the duty of providing building space for <br />use in the administration of Village affairs, including but not limited to <br />buildings for housing fire fighting equipment, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the present facilities are inadequate to meet the needs <br />and requirements of the Village, both as to housing for fire fighting equipment, <br />and otherwise, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Certain lands and premises which are ~n a centrally located <br />area, and are otherwise suitable as a site for the construction of such equip- <br />ment are for sale by one Allan Krafve, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, bE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the Village <br />of Elk River acquire an option to purchase the following described real <br />estate situated in the County of Sherburne and State of Minnesota, <br /> <br />That part of Lot. One (1), Auditor's Subdivision No.4, <br />Village of Elk River bounded and described as follows: <br />Beginning at the Southeast corner of said Lot One (1) <br />being the intersection of Grove and Princeton Streets; thence <br />West along the North line of Grove Street 56 feet; thence <br />North and parallel with the West line of Princeton Street <br />70.feet; thence West at right angles 20 feet; thence North <br />45 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot TWo (2), Auditor's <br />Subdivision No.4; thence East along the South line of said <br />Lot TWo (2) 76 feet to Princeton Street; thence South along <br />the West line of Princeton Street to point of beginning, <br /> <br />for use as a site for a building to house fire fighting equipment and such <br />other Village facilities as this Council may from time to time determine, and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor and Clerk-Treasurer be <br />and are hereby authorized to execute in behalf of the Village an option to <br />acquire said lands and premises from the lawful owner thereof for a sum not <br />to exceed $10,000.00, which option will expire not earlier than April 1, <br />1971, and for which option the Village shall pay not more than $1,000.00 <br />upon the execution of the option contract, which sum shall be credited upon <br />the said purchase price in the event said option is exercised as herein <br />provided. <br /> <br />p~ ;/dtZZlr <br /> <br /> <br />". <br />
