<br />The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Elk River Village Council of the Village <br />of Elk River was called to order by Mayor Bartelt on Dec. 7, 1970, at 7 :30 pm <br />in the Council Room of the Village office building. Members ~re present n <br />as follows: Mayor Bartelt, Councilmen Hudson, Syring, and Konop. ... · <br /> <br /> <br />......'.... <br /> <br />The minutes of the Nov~ 16, 1970 regular meeting and the <br />minutes of the Nov. 23, 1970 special meeting were read. <br />No additions or corrections were made. <br /> <br />An interview ~s held with Chief of Police applicant James <br />D. Kuepl. <br /> <br />The bill froIJI. Big Lake Gravel Company was presented to the <br />Council for payment by. George Adamski. The bill resulteci <br />from construction of the sanitary sewer on Quinn Ave. to <br />George Adamski's property line in the amount of $562.50. <br /> <br />A discussion of the Chief of Police Applicants was held by <br />the Council. It was decideti that background checks be made <br />of the applicants, Olson and Kuepl before a decision on the <br />applicants be made by the Council. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Hudson <br />to transfer $12,000.00 from the liquor operating lund to <br />the gereral fund. MOtion unaminously carrie.. <br /> <br />Lawrence Kreger presented his bid of $1,300.00 for demolition <br />of the Millhouse Apt. building to the Council.
