<br />'!he regular' semi-monthly meeting of the Elk River Village Counci:l--ef the '" <br />Village of Elk River was called to order by }!ayorBartelt on sept. 8, 1970, in <br />the Council Roomo! the Village Office Building ,at 7 :30 pm. Members were present <br />as follows: Mayor BaI:telt, Councilmen Syring, Hud.son, Micheau and Konop. <br /> <br />'ihe minutes of the Aug.:l~, 1970 meeting were read.: '!here were no additions or <br />corrections and the minutes were approved read. <br /> <br />Lynn Moore and Ron Miller, represeQ.ting the JaJ'Cees presented a scale model of a <br />proposed 10' x 10'smallch~ldren play area and r~questedpermi.ssion to place in <br />Orono Pa.+k at the Jaycees expense. If permission is granted, the building l<<>uld <br />be sold to the village for the sum of $1.00. ,Referred to the Park Committee for <br />their recommendation. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Village Attorney John MacGibbon and Attomey Lundberg, representing th~ Alfred <br />Brown law suit were present. Mr. MacGibbonreported that the plat of the Village <br />allows for 60' not 66' lots in the BroWIt blockanc\ as a result ,the> garage and part <br />of the Brown house is situated in a dedicated public right-of-way. Mr. Lundberg <br />suggested that if possible, the vi;llage should .provide a south ,ac.cess toth^e <br />garage or move the garage back and award ~. Brown some compensation for his <br />inconvenience. Several alternative proposals were suggested by the Council how- <br />ever noth:i.ng could be agreed upon. It was decided that Mr. Lundberg would check <br /> <br />with Mr. arown on a possible compromise settlement. <br /> <br /> <br />
