Her son was previously hurt while in the care of <br />another company. <br />Her 27 -year-old son is autistic, has an intellectual disability and is considered non- <br />verbal. He lives in a Hobart home with two other disabled men. ResCare provides <br />home -care services for the men. <br />"All I know is that somebody has to bring this to light somewhere, and it's not going <br />to happen to my boy, again," she said. "I just can't let it happen again." <br />In the lawsuit, Murphy accuses ResCare of not properly training and hiring <br />appropriate staff. Her attorney, Donald Wruck, said companies such as ResCare <br />typically have a low -paid, unskilled work force who are placed in difficult situations. <br />"So what you have is a system where you have a recipe for disaster," Wruck said. <br />
