IN THE MATTER OF THE JOINT <br />RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF <br />BIG LAKE AND THE CITY OF <br />ELK RIVER DESIGNATING AN <br />UNINCORPORATED AREA AS IN <br />NEED OF ORDERLY ANNEXATION <br />AND CONFERRING JURISDICTION <br />OVER SAID AREA TO THE <br />MINNESOTA MUNICIPAL BOARD <br />PURSUANT TO M.S. 414.0325 <br />JOINT RESOLUTION <br />FOR ORDERLY ANNEXATION <br />The Township of Big Lake and the City of Elk River hereby jointly agree to the following: <br />1. That the following described area in Big Lake Township is subject to orderly <br />annexation pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 414.0325, and the parties hereto designate this <br />area for orderly annexation, to wit: <br />The South 80.00 feet of the North 680.00 feet of the East 50.00 feet of the <br />Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 13, Township 33, <br />Range 27, Sherburne County, Minnesota. <br />2. That the Town Board of the Township of Big Lake, and the City Council of <br />the City of Elk River, upon passage and adoption of this resolution and upon acceptance by <br />the Municipal Board, confer jurisdiction upon the Municipal Board over the various <br />provisions contained in this Agreement. <br />3. That the 4,000 square foot property to be annexed abuts the City of Elk River <br />and includes a single family home which is presently partially located within the City of Elk <br />River. <br />4. That annexation of the property identified in Paragraph No. 1 above is <br />therefore in the best interest of the area proposed for annexation and the aforementioned <br />property will be immediately annexed to the City of Elk River. <br />
