NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING <br />UPDATE OF THE ELK RIVER COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />A public meeting on updating the Elk River comprehensive plan will be held at the Elk <br />River City Hall on <br />Thursday, December 1, 1994, beginning at 6:30 p.m. <br />The early starting time will allow you to see a major portion of the Vikings football game <br />This meeting will focus on residential development, or redevelopment, in the central <br />planning area, as outlined on the map on the reverse side. The central planning area is <br />roughly the urban services area between Proctor Avenue and Tyler Street. <br />Discussion items may include an overview of existing residential land, and development or <br />redevelopment policies associated with residential growth. Also under discussion may be <br />suggestions for maintaining the integrity of our housing stock, and the possibility of a <br />housing maintenance code inspection program. <br />At the beginning of the meeting, the agenda will include a follow-up from the last meeting <br />regarding "area 3" generally between Highway 10 and the Elk River and between Lake <br />Orono and Waco. <br />Everyone at this meeting will be given a chance to express their views on the issues under <br />discussion. Interested persons may also file written comments with the City Planner. For <br />further information, contact Steven Ach, City Planner, at 441-4902. <br />The comprehensive plan will be an extremely important document, because it will guide the <br />City Council, the Planning Commission, residents and businesses in development in the <br />future. <br />
