As frustrating as it has been to see this take place, it has been
equally so when letters to the Zoning Commissioner and Mayor Duitsman
voicing our concerns over this matter have been totally disregarded.
Also, a letter to the editor of Star News was totally ignored, although
they advertise that if your letter is not published, they will tell you
the reason why. I would expect our Elk River city officials and also
the local newspaper to have a care about community matters and at least
give a homewoner the common courtesy of a response over their concerns.
I would like to add here, that Gary Schmitz of the Zoning Office has
been most kind and helpful the numerous times I have called him.
Please believe me, I am not an angry or hostile person, but I do feel
that when someone does me wrong or I feel my rights as a citizen have
been violated, I tend to fight back.
Larry and I have always taken pride in our city and what we own in
Elk River and believe that we deserve the same respect and can-
siderations in return.
Thanks for the opportunity to voice my opinions.
