<br />ATTACHMENT 1: QUALIFICATIONS <br /> <br />AMANDA GRONHOVD <br />Ms. Gronhovd has over fifteen years of diverse cultural resource experience, including <br />the excavation and recordation of precontact, historic, and industrial sites in Minnesota, <br />North Dakota, Michigan, Iowa, Arizona, New Mexico, and the Caribbean. Her particular <br />area of expertise is the industrial archaeology and history of the Upper Midwest, and has <br />experience with public archaeology projects. Amanda has been involved in public <br />archaeology projects including supervising participants in the Passport in Time program <br />(National Park Service), and creating a public archaeology program for the Minneapolis <br />Park and Recreation Board's industrial complex, Mill Ruins Park. <br /> <br />In addition to her studies in these areas, she has worked extensively with archival <br />collections, including organizing and computerizing document and artifact collections, <br />drafting collection policy, and recommending strategies for collection management. Ms. <br />Gronhovd has also recorded numerous farmsteads, houses and other structures <br />throughout the Upper Midwest, researched, surveyed and excavated industrial sites in the <br />Caribbean, and conducted all phases of archaeological research on both precontact and <br />historic sites. <br /> <br />As an archaeologist and historian, she has extensive experience in reviewing proposed <br />development projects to ensure compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act <br />and other legislative and regulatory frameworks, and meets the Secretary of the Interior's <br />Standards for pre-historic and historic archaeology, architectural history, and history. Ms. <br />Gronhovd has authored many cultural resource management reports and professional <br />papers, and plays active roles in both the Society for Historical Archaeology and the <br />Society for Industrial Archaeology. <br /> <br />STACY ALLAN <br />Stacy Allan has over nineteen years of archaeological experience with increasing levels <br />of responsibility. She has managed and conducted a wide variety of cultural resource <br />surveys and site testing in hundreds of project areas throughout Minnesota. Sites include <br />pre-contact American Indian heritage, fur trade, military, and rural historic. She is <br />experienced in conducting archaeological laboratory research, analyzing data, and <br />interpreting field results. Ms. Allan is an experienced collections manager and has <br />developed protocols for cataloging artifacts. She is familiar with and has used a variety <br />of computer tools, including GIS, to display archaeological project data and provide site <br />information. Her broad-based archaeological work with the Minnesota Department of <br />Natural Resources and the Minnesota Historical Society has provided ample opportunity <br />for successful interaction with numerous state agencies, volunteers, and the general <br />public. <br /> <br />TIMOTHY TUMBERG <br />Tim Tumberg has more than 15 years of archaeological fieldwork experience. Most of <br />that experience is in the Upper Midwest, but he has also worked in Arizona, California, <br />and on the Caribbean island of Nevis.
