We received 12 applications and moved 10 candidates <br /> forward to the physical ability testing. <br /> All 10 candidates passed the physical ability testing and moved forward to interviews. Jacob DeMarre, <br /> Jena Murray, and Gordon Myette were recommended by the interview panels. They have since passed <br /> criminal background checks and psychological testing. As of the writing of this memo,we are waiting for <br /> one result from the physical testing so hiring for that candidate is contingent on passing that test. The <br /> others have passed the physical testing. <br /> Upon approval,Mr. DeMarre,Ms. Murray, and Mr. Myette will begin Elk River's Fire Academy this <br /> evening.
