The <br />Heritage Preservation Committee would be an excellent <br />opportunity to support both. <br />What skills, training, <br />and experience would <br />you bring to the <br />commission for which <br />you seek appointment? <br />Community engagement and outreach are critical skills as a <br />community program coordinator. 10 years of working in <br />education has advanced skills in building relationships, <br />communicating messages, analytical thinking, and assessment. <br />In my professional life I am accountable to the city governments <br />of Ramsey, Andover, Anoka, and Coon Rapids, as well as Anoka <br />County. I report monthly to city council members, a mayor, and a <br />county commissioner to ensure programs are effective and <br />efficient. In November I will begin a position with Elk River <br />Municipal Utilities in communications and administration. For that <br />opportunity I have read A History of Elk River Municipal Utilities <br />and found myself looking for ways to continue to progress my <br />understanding of Elk River's origins.
