(PK) Coordinate and Communicate - be a team-builder - staff and human resource skills <br /> <br />(SK) Somewhat informal, easy-going professional style <br /> <br />(JG) Able to work with staff <br /> <br />(LF) Must be from the MN area because they understand the area, know the laws, etc. <br /> <br />(PM) Good quality experience in planning and economic development. Some experience in <br />building/zoning issues (enough to know the issues). <br /> <br />3. (PK) Ability to delegate and manage numerous projects and departments all at one time <br />(SK) Extensive experience with at least two of the City departments being supervised by <br />New Community Development Director position <br />(JG) Delegate work <br />(LF) Risk-taker - willing to try new ideas (candidate to give examples) <br />(PM) Time priorization. This person will have many, many issues coming at him/her. <br /> <br />4. (PK) Leader <br /> <br />(SK) Experience as City of Elk River staff department head - 15+ years <br /> <br />(JG) Able to take citizen impact and add that information to the plan <br /> <br />(LF) Candidate must be able to see the big picture-from input by the community, staff and <br />City Council <br /> <br />(PM) Self-motivated with the ability to deal effectively with the City Administrator and <br />department heads to motivate them to take action. <br />
