. .S~ecial meeting of the Village Council held in Coun?ll Room, Elk River, ~innesota on November 28 1~~2, l~l:etlng called to oruer by the President at 1: 30 P.M.~ _ wlth members Brown, Flaherty, Cornelius in attendence, .. President stated that the puz'pose of the Ir1(,eting was to receive an answer to the Council's Pro~oBition to Power Com~any given on Thursday last, ~~ Foster went into detail regarding the matter but would give no definite answer, neither rejecting or acce~ting our pro~osal, nor offering any counter pro~oaal, After an attem~t to throw the meeting o~en to dis_ cussion was blocked by the Council, li~, Foster and Mr, Richardson got together on a schedule of rates acceptable to both the Company and the Council and aggeement entered into by both parties covering same, The following agreement and notice rescinding counci~ action calling for vote on bomd issue were adopted aB a part of these minutes and ordered published with same, The Council having reached an agreemelit with the Elk River Power & Light Co. as to rateE ,md the attorney having ~repared a form of contrac:j to be f!,xeCuted b~r the compan~1 and by the Village to show the terms of such agreement, Trustee J.D.Flaherty introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. m;SOLUTION , . Be it resolved by the Village Council of the Village of Elk River, Sherburne County, fuinnesota that the form of contract prepared by:'the attorney to evidence the agree_ _ ment between the Elk River Power&Light Co, and the Village .. as to rates to be ~laced in effect in the Village be a~proved and that the ~resident be and he hereby is auth_ orized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the Village, Then a~on the execution of such a?reement b~r the company the Clerk be and hI' hereby is authorized and dir€c~ed to give due notice through the papers that the Council has rescinded its former action taken ~ctober 31~1932, present_ ing to the people at the annual election to 0: ~eld D:c. uth, 1932. the question of constructiog a m~lcl~al 11ght plant and issuin~ bonds therefor and the actlon so taken October 31, 1932~ is hereby an all things rescinded and annulled. Adopted by the Village Council November 28th, 1932, Trustee Geo.Cornelius seconded the motion to adopt said resolution and upon roll call it waf) adopted b~T the following vote. AYES~eo.
