Planning Commission Page 9 <br />.�_ June 26, 2018 <br />8.1 R I a Lot Size Requirements <br />Mr. Carlton presented the staff report. <br />The Commission discussed a building footprint being smaller, accommodating <br />wetland setback and wellhead regulations, septic concerns, updating the <br />Comprehensive Plan, road infrastructure handling an increase in traffic, current and <br />future market demands, and county staff analyzing traffic counts county -wide. They <br />discussed the costs of purchasing land and building a home, and opportunities in <br />where to place these types of lots a particular distance from a city or county road <br />with impacts on public safety. <br />It was the consensus of the Commission to continue discussion, taking time to figure <br />out the best approach to orderly development and formulate an ordinance <br />considering all factors that could impact by decreasing lot size requirements. <br />9.
