r ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br /> om" 322 King Avenue <br /> Elk River, Minnesota 55330 <br /> Phone (612) 441-2020 <br /> UTILITIES COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> January 7 , 1992 <br /> 4 : 00 P.M. <br /> Present Were: Jim Simpson President <br /> James Tralle Vice Chairman <br /> George Zabee Trustee <br /> Bill Birrenkott General Manager <br /> Others Present: Glenn Sundeen <br /> Bob McCartney <br /> 1) The meeting was called to order at 4 : 00 P.M. by President Simpson. <br /> 2) Motion by Mr. Tralle seconded by Mr. Simpson to approve the <br /> agenda. The motion carried. <br /> 3) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle that the following <br /> slate of officers be nominated to serve for 1992 : <br /> George Zabee - President <br /> James Tralle - Vice Chairman <br /> James Simpson - Trustee <br /> The Motion carried. <br /> 4) Motion by Mr. Zabee, seconded by Mr. Simpson to approve the <br /> minutes of the previous meetings as distributed. The motion <br /> carried. <br /> ) The Line Superintendent reported on the status of construction <br /> projects and other operating conditions. <br /> 6) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Tralle to promote Mark <br /> Fuchs to the position of Lead Lineman effective immediately. The <br /> motion carried. <br /> 7) The General Manager reported on several operating conditions which <br /> could effect the Utilities. One of the problems reported was the <br /> existence of several duplexes in the area which are not on City <br /> water and sewer. These duplexes have only one water pump which <br /> many will not allow us to shut the unit off for non-payment of <br /> utility bills. The General Manager was instructed to contact <br /> Steve Rohlf at City Hall to see what could be done. <br />
