7 ) The employees representatives discussed with the Commissioners the <br /> possible use of Utility equipment. The Commissioners decided not <br /> to change existing policy. Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. <br /> Zabee to have Utilities purchase certain required clothing and <br /> equipment for the outside workers. These items include: Linemens <br /> Climbing boots, summer work boots or shoes, rubber boots, rubber <br /> overshoes, insulated winter boots, insulated winter coat, <br /> insulated winter bibs, light weight work jacket, and coveralls. <br /> The old item must be turned in to get a replacement item ordered. <br /> The maximum amount to be spent by the Utilities for each employee <br /> will be $300.00 per year. The Utilities will issue a check to the <br /> supplier for the covered items. The motion carried. <br /> 8 ) The General Manager informed the Commissioners that the City had <br /> awarded the bid on the new fire truck and that the Utilities will <br /> be asked to contribute the maximum $30,000 as passed in an earlier <br /> Commission meeting. <br /> 9) Motion by Mr. Zabee, seconded by Mr. Simpson, to donate to the <br /> DARE project, the amount of $4579.81 in the form of waived fees, <br /> electric underground service and cash to pay water assessments. <br /> The motion carried. <br /> 10) It was decided to discuss the 1992 audit at a subsequent meeting. <br /> 11) The General Manager reviewed the May financial statements with the <br /> Commissioners. <br /> 12 ) The Line Superintendent reported on the status of construction <br /> projects and other operating conditions. <br /> 13) Motion by Mr. Zabee, seconded by Mr. Simpson to approve the <br /> monthly expenditures. The motion carried. <br /> 14 ) The General Manager informed the Commissioners that the Attorneys <br /> for the League of Minnesota cities have notified us that the <br /> lawsuit for the electrocution deaths and injuries has been settled <br /> out of court. <br /> 15 ) The next regular meeting of the Commissioners was set for Tuesday, <br /> July 13, 1993 at 3:00 P.M. at the Utilities Office. <br /> 16) Motion by Mr. Simpson seconded by Mr. Zabee to adjourn.
