7 ) Charlene Roise of the Historical Consulting firm of Hess Roise <br /> made a presentation regarding the preparation of a history of Elk <br /> River Municipal Utilities. Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. <br /> Zabee to authorize the firm of Hess Roise to proceed with the <br /> preparation of a history of the Utility as proposed. The motion <br /> carried. <br /> 8) Wade Lovelette, Mike Thiry and Mark Fuchs representing the outside <br /> work force made several proposals for their unit for the following <br /> year. <br /> Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Zabee to have staff <br /> correlate with the work force certain items of clothing and <br /> equipment which the Utility requires them to wear or use to now be <br /> furnished by the Utility. The exact dollar amount per employee <br /> per year will be determined at a future meeting. The Motion <br /> carried. <br /> Motion by Mr. Zabee, seconded by Mr. Simpson to allow those <br /> employees retiring ingood standing to participate in the Utility <br /> Health insurance program at their own cost until such time as they <br /> are eligible for Medicare. The motion carried. <br /> Motion by Mr. Zabee, seconded by Mr. Simpson to increase the wage <br /> classes of all outside workers by 3. 18% effective June 1, 1993. <br /> The Motion carried. <br /> 9) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Zabee to pay Anoka Electric <br /> Cooperative the amount of the invoice as presented for the <br /> facilities and other costs associated with the takeover of <br /> customers in 1992 . The motion carried. <br /> 10) The General Manager reviewed the January, February, March and <br /> April financial statements with the Commissioners. <br /> 11) The Line Superintendent reported on the status of construction <br /> projects and other operating conditions. <br /> 12 ) Motion by Mr. Zabee, seconded by Mr. Simpson to approve the <br /> monthly expenditures. The motion carried. <br /> 13) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Zabee to authorize payment <br /> of $736.61 to A. N. Johnson Construction Company for work done in <br /> 1990 at our request for work on Lookout Place. The Utilities will <br /> then try to collect this amount from the homeowner. The motion <br /> carried. <br /> 14 ) Motion by Mr. Simpson seconded by Mr. Zabee to sell an old pickup <br /> to Vivian Schmidt for $501.00. The motion carried. <br /> 15 ) The next regular meeting of the Commissioners was set for Tuesday, <br /> June 8, 1993 at 3:00 P.M. at the Utilities Office. <br />
