--c.I <br /> ( <br /> ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br /> 322 King Avenue <br /> `" Elk River, Minnesota 55330 <br /> Phone (612) 441-2020 <br /> i• <br /> UTILITIES COMMISSION MINUTES <br /> March 9, 1993 <br /> 4 : 00 P.M. <br /> Present Were: James Tralle President <br /> James Simpson Vice Chairman <br /> George Zabee Trustee <br /> Others present: Bill Birrenkott General Manager <br /> Glenn Sundeen Line Superintendent <br /> Bob McCartney Water Superintendent <br /> Kristin Wood Coon Rapids Development Corp <br /> Bill Rubin City of Elk River <br /> 1) The meeting was called to order at 4 :00 P.M. by President Tralle. <br /> 2 ) Motion by Mr. Simpson seconded by Mr. Zabee to approve the <br /> agenda. The motion carried. <br /> 3) Motion by Mr. Simpson seconded by Mr. Zabee to approve the minutes <br /> of the previous meeting as distributed. The motion carried. <br /> 4 ) The minutes of the Joint Meeting of the City Council and the Elk <br /> River Utilities Commission were reviewed and the Commissioners <br /> offered no exceptions to these minutes as they were distributed. <br /> 5) The Commissioners reviewed the list of uncollectable debts for <br /> 1992 . Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Zabee to approve the <br /> uncollectable debts as presented and remove them from the books of <br /> the Utilities. This list will become a part of these minutes. The <br /> motion carried. <br /> 6) Kristin Wood, representing Coon Rapids Development Corporation, <br /> presented to the Commissioners a proposal to expand their <br /> operating territory into Sherburne County. She asked that the <br /> Utilities consider purchasing $1,000 worth of Capital Stock in <br /> this not for profit Corporation, which will change it's name to <br /> Central Region Development Corporation. Motion by Mr. Zabee, <br /> seconded by Mr. Simpson to purchase $1,000 worth of Stock in CRDC <br /> at a future date,, when it is indicated that they desire this <br /> contribution. The Motion carried. <br /> 7 ) Motion by Mr. Simpson, seconded by Mr. Zabee to donate to the <br /> Dayton Ball Park the time of two men and a truck for one day to <br /> help enhance their facility. The motion carried. <br /> 8) The Line Superintendent reported on the cause of the Sub-Station <br /> outage and effort required to repair the damage. <br />
