<br /> <br />o <br /> <br />t) <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />REGULAR SEHI-MONTHLY fvlEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE COm~CIL CH~mERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BLDG. <br /> <br />November 15, 1976 at 7:30 PM. <br /> <br />The Regular Semi-Monthly Meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order by <br />Hayor Lundberg on November 15, 1976 at 7:30 PM. in the Council Chambers of the City <br />office building. Members present Hayor Lundberg, Councilmen Konop and otto. <br /> <br />The minutes of the November 1, 1976 regular meeting were reviewed as there were no <br />additions or corrections the minutes were approved as printed. The minutes of the <br />November 3, 1976 canvassing board meeting were reviewed as there were no additions or <br />corrections the minutes were approved as printed. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Konop and seconded by Councilmember otto approving the resolution <br />"Applying for State of Minn. Land Use Planning Grant Program". Motion unanimously carried <br />by a vote of 3-0. A copy of the resolution is attached. <br /> <br />The Council reviewed Mr. Schambers letter <br />located on Tipton Ave. in the boulevard. <br />with Mr. Nelson as he stated the trees do <br />looking trees. <br /> <br />requesting the removal of three cottonwood trees <br />The Council denied the request after discussion <br />not present a hazard plus they are attractive <br /> <br />The Council also reviewed Mr. Myron Burquest request for re-embursement of $30.00 for <br />sewer line roto-rootered at the Faith Fellowship parish house. The request was denied <br />because the City was not first notified of the problem if they had been notified they <br />would have discovered the problem and this expense would not have occured. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember otto and seconded by Councilmember Konop approving and accepting the <br />contract for 1977 with Authorized Consultants for the General Government and Liquor Stores <br />computerized accounting system for $2,700 a year for General Government and $3,000.00 a <br />year for the Liquor Stores. Hotion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Hoved by Councilmember Konop~and seconded by Councilmember Otto approving the paying of <br />the Liquor Store bills for payment as listed. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember otto and seconded by Councilmember Konop approving that stop signs <br />be installed on both sides of the streets at Upland Ave. and the service road and <br />also at the intersection of School Street and Proctor Ave. Motion unanimously carried by <br />a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Councilmember Syring inattendance at 8:45 PM. <br /> <br />Mayor Lundberg gave a progress report on the consolidation. <br /> <br />No further business the meeting adjourned at 9:30 PH. <br /> <br />~~ <br />
