George Zabee seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> 5.4 Up-date future Electric Territory Acquisition <br /> Future Territory Acquisition, in East Elk River for years 2000 and 2002 <br /> from Connexus Energy was discussed, with emphasis on proposed dates and <br /> approximation of costs. It is noted that Area 9 will be acquired in 1999,per <br /> authorization from the 7-14-98 Commission meeting. Discussion continued, with <br /> Commission's desire to continue.the acquisition process. <br /> 6.1 Review and Consider Purchase of Pick-up Truck <br /> Bids for a '/2 ton, 4 x 4 pickup were presented and discussed. Staff recommends <br /> purchasing the vehicle from the lowest responsive bidder. John Dietz asked <br /> which department would be using the pick-up, response by Bryan Adams and <br /> Glenn Sundeen. <br /> George Zabee moved to accept the low bid from Cummings Chrysler for a <br /> 1999 Dodge BR1500. John Dietz seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> 6.2 Review and Consider Purchase of Used Tractor Backhoe <br /> Bids were reviewed for the purchase of a used backhoe. Glenn Sundeen and <br /> Bryan Adams advised the Commission of the problems in purchasing this <br /> 1999 budget item. <br /> James Tralle moved to authorize the purchase of a used Tractor Backhoe by <br /> Staff, at a cost to not exceed $24,999.00. John Dietz seconded the motion. <br /> Motion carried 3-0. <br /> 6.3 Review Off Peak Demand Electric Rate <br /> A revision of the Off Peak Demand Electric Service rate was presented and <br /> discussed. <br />
