Page 3 <br /> Regular meeting of the Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission <br /> February 8,2005 <br /> Motion by James Tralle to accept staffs recommendation to move Theresa Slominski to Finance <br /> Director/Office Manager, Staci Althouse to A/P-P/R clerk,and hire a replacement for receptionist. <br /> John Dietz seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> 6.4 Commercial Meter Policy <br /> The Elk River community is having more multi tenant facilities being constructed both <br /> residential and commercial. Meter reading and meter maintenance in and around buildings is <br /> getting more challenging and difficult. Staff is recommending the following language be added to <br /> the Metering Facilities section of our Electric Rules. <br /> "In multi tenant facilities,both residential and commercial except apartment complex's and <br /> town homes, shall have all electric meters banked in one area on the exterior of the building. The <br /> meter box shall be clearly and permanently marked identifying what individual space the meter <br /> serves." <br /> Motion by James Tralle to add to our Electric Rules the above recommended language. John <br /> Dietz seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> Other Business <br /> John Dietz added an item regarding the insurance and benefit survey however,that was covered in <br /> the staff updates. Jerry Takle shared a few articles from the MMUA newsletter. One regarding <br /> the importance of electric primary equipment placement to minimize damage by third parties, <br /> including vehicles thus avoiding major outages. The other was regarding low income assistance <br /> programs. Discussion followed regarding the status of our customers and the assistance programs. <br /> The next regularly scheduled meeting of the Elk River Municipal Utilities Commission will be <br /> Tuesday,March 8,2005. <br /> President Jerry Takle adjourned the regular meeting of the Elk River Municipal Utilities <br /> Commission at 5:15 p.m. <br /> -spectfully <br /> Judy Mc paddeNk <br /> Recording Clerk <br />
