<br />REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BIDG. <br /> <br />" June 21, 1976 at 7:30 PM. <br /> <br />~ Members present Mayor Lundberg, Councilmembers Konop, Syring & Otto. <br /> <br />The minutes of the June 7, 1976 Regular Meeting, the June' 9, 1976 Board of Review and June <br />14, 1976 Special Meeting were reviewed as there were no additions or corrections the minutes <br />were approved as printed. <br /> <br />The following are the construction quotes <br />East of Tipton: <br />Hennen Construction Co. <br />Q.R.S. Construction Inc. <br />A.N. Johnson Construction <br />Big Lake Gravel Co. Inc. <br /> <br />received for a storm sewer south of Hwy. #10 and <br /> <br />$3,200.00 <br />$7,300.00 <br />$3,513.00 <br />$3,795.00 <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember SYring and seconded by Councilmember Konop award the construction <br />contract to Hennen Construction Co. of Loretta, Minnesota at the lowest quote in the amount <br />of $3,200.00 for placement of concrete tiles for a storm sewer along U.S. Hwy #10 South side <br />by Elk River Concrete Plant. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Konop approving the paying of thE <br />Liquor Stores bills for payment as presented. Motion unanimously carried by a vote 3-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Konop and seconded by Councilmember Syring close the filing of the <br />petition against the 1976 Street Construction and proceed with the 1976 Street Improvement <br />O program as ruled upon at the Special Meeting June 14, 1976. Motion unanimously carried by <br />a vote of 3-0. <br />I <br /> <br />The Council discussed the possibility of obtaining some concrete type benches for citizens. <br />The local clubs will be notified requesting their comments on this project. <br /> <br />Mr. E. L. Shadick, 212 Morton met with the Council requesting approval to remove the section <br />of sidewalk that fronts on part of his property and would like to fill and plant grass as <br />there are no other sidewalks in this area. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember otto granting Mr. Shadick at 212 <br />Morton approval to remove the sidewalk on his property and replace with grass. Motion <br />unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />The Council made the following recommendation to the Elk River Park Board due to the problem~ <br />that occured at the ball park last Saturday 6/19/76 the Council feels that the board in the <br />future should consider strongly not issuing of any type of 24 hour tournaments in the <br />ball parks unless there are provisions for a stronger security contract. <br /> <br />No further business the meeting adjourned at <br /> <br /> <br />o <br />
