• Construction Site Meeting Minutes — June 3, 2003 <br /> Attending: Phil HaIs, Steve Rohlf, Terry Zajac, Terry Mauer, Bob Ruprecht, Michele <br /> McPherson, and Rebecca Haug <br /> The following items were discussed for the role of each department for control of <br /> construction site erosion: <br /> Engineering's Role <br /> Review and approve plans for BMPs and erosion control on plats and <br /> Commercial/Industrial/Institutional sites <br /> Create a list of erosion control measures that may be used since silt fence, sod, and <br /> hay bales aren't always the solution for every site. Let developer pick the measure <br /> but deny certain control measures when not appropriate for the site <br /> ;-• Hold a Pre-Construction meeting to inform developers of plats and large projects of <br /> the City's erosion control rules and what will happen if the rules are not followed <br /> • Inspect all new plats prior to mass grading <br /> • Conduct Site inspection prior to grading to ensure erosion control measures have <br /> been installed properly <br /> • Ensure that erosion control measures are installed after stormwater structures are <br /> built <br /> IDPlanning's Role <br /> :0. Review plans for new Commercial/Industrial/Institutional sites <br /> • Require rock driveway for Commercial/Industrial/Institutional sites <br /> • Inspect all new Commercial/Industrial/Institutional sites prior to grading to ensure <br /> proper erosion control measures have been taken <br /> .1- Require developer to send a weekly and after every significant rainfall event an <br /> erosion control inspection report <br /> Deduct money from letter of credit or shut-down operation if after 24 hours notice <br /> of non-compliance of erosion control is not met <br /> Street sweepings,pond and pipe clean-outs—Planning draw on Letter of Credit <br /> io Inspect erosion control prior to reducing letter of credit/warranty bond and keep <br /> minimum amount until built out <br /> Conduct re-inspections after complaints are received and builder and developer <br /> have been notified <br /> Building & Environmental Department's Role <br /> > Develop a list of Rules to be given out at Pre-Construction Meeting <br /> Hold a Pre-Construction meeting with builders of <br /> Commercial/Industrial/Institutional sites in areas which have already been platted <br /> to inform them of the Rules and what will happen if the rules are not followed <br /> • Develop form for Building Inspectors, planners, and engineers to use in the field <br /> Building Inspectors tag non-compliant builders and inform Rebecca so she can fax <br /> and call developers to have them bring lot into compliance <br />
