• 5. Administrative Support for Tree Board <br /> The City Forester shall have the responsibility of providing administrative guidance in carrying <br /> out the activities of the Tree Advisory Committee. <br /> 6. Appointment to Tree Board <br /> All members of the Tree Advisory Committee shall be residents of the city. <br /> A majority of the members shall have demonstrated special interest,experience or education in the <br /> areas of landscape architecture and/or contracting, civil engineering,horticulture,historic <br /> preservation,public utilities,property management, environmental science and/or design. <br /> 7. Vacancies on the Tree Board <br /> Vacancies occurring for reasons other than expiration of terms shall be filled as they occur for the <br /> period of the unexpired term. <br /> 8. Removal from the Tree Board <br /> Members of the Tree Advisory Committee may be removed for cause by the City Council, <br /> including violation of the rules stated below. <br /> 9. Tree Board Compensation <br /> • <br /> Members of the Tree Advisory Committee shall serve without pay;provided,however,expenses <br /> incurred by Tree Advisory Committee members may be reimbursed upon presentation of evidence <br /> thereof and with the approval of a majority of the Tree Advisory Committee members. <br /> 10. Tree Board Meetings <br /> The Tree Advisory Committee shall meet once a month and shall hold its first meeting in the <br /> month following enactment of this Chapter. <br /> Special Meetings may be called by the Chairperson, or in his or her absence the Vice-Chairperson <br /> or by any two Tree Advisory Committee Members. <br /> 11. Tree Board Meeting Quorum <br /> Three members shall constitute a quorum. <br /> Faithful attendance at all Tree Advisory Committee meetings and conscientious performance of <br /> the duties required of the Tree Advisory Committee members shall be considered a prerequisite of <br /> continuing membership on the Tree Advisory Committee. <br /> 12. Tree Board Procedures <br /> Within a reasonable time after the appointment of the Tree Advisory Committee,upon call of the <br /> chairperson of the Tree Advisory Committee,the Tree Advisory Committee shall meet and adopt <br /> rules of procedure for regular and special meetings to fulfill the duties imposed upon it by this <br /> ordinance. <br /> • <br />
