<br />REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HEm IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BmG. <br /> <br />~ October 6, 1975 at 7:30 PM. . <br /> <br />~The Regular Semi-Monthly Meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order by Mayor <br />Lundberg on October 6, 1975 at 7:30 PM. in the Council Chambers of the City Office Bldg. <br />Members present were as follows: Mayor Lundberg, Councilmembers Konop, Hudson, Syring and <br />Otto. <br /> <br />The minutes of the September 15, 1975 meeting were reviewed one correction was noted the <br />paragraph regarding weeds should read noxious weeds and not obnoxious as there were no other <br />additions or corrections the minutes were approved as corrected. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Otto approving the renewal <br />request for a Club License by the Elk River Legion Club. Motion unanimously carried by a <br />vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />Rex Oetinger, Zoning and Bldg. Inspector met with the Council regarding permit fee charges to <br />non profit organizations and up dating of our present fee schedule. Rex will draft a <br />revised fee schedule at a future date as to the charges to non profit making organizations <br />it was concluded that there would be no exceptions. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Otto approving the payment <br />request by Batzer Construction, Inc. for the 1975 seal coating in the amount of $8,482.78 <br />as per McCombs-Knutson approval. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 5-0. <br />fir {( <br />Jerry Meeh1~ney resident of the Elk River Township met with the Council and presented a <br />Opetition for annexsation into the City. He was asked to correct the legal discription and <br />submit proof of payment for our October 20th meeting. <br />I <br /> <br />Archie Johnson and Bob Johnson representing Elk River Home Inprovement Company met with the <br />Council regarding their proposed plot plan for Walkers Revised Addition. They stated that <br />they were unable to get a road dedicationfrom the Nickerson for the extention Gates Ave. <br />therefore they would like permission to put in a 33 ft. roadway not on the Avenue for the <br />present time and at a future date when the Nickerson property is developed then the Council <br />could require the additional 33 ft. road right away. They were instructed to draft up the <br />change's and submit them to the Planning Commission along with the $50,000. performance bond. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Syring requesting that the East <br />5 rods of lot 11, Auditors Subdivision No.4 City of Elk River tax-forfeit property be <br />conveyed to the City of Elk River for utility and roadway purposes. Motion unanimously <br />carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />Lyle Swanson, City Engineer met with the City Council and reviewed for them his report on <br />Meadow Park proposed plot plan. Mr. Swanson also reviewed his report Storm sewers for 4th <br />Street between Norfolk and Morton and Highway 10 and Tipton. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Otto and seconded by Councilmember Konop ordering plans and specifi- <br />cations for the. Storm Sewer study and call for at least three bid. quotes for the next regula <br />semi-monthly meeting scheduled for October 20, 1975.
