<br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HEID IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BLDG. <br /> <br />May 19, 1975 at 7:30 PM. <br /> <br />The Regular Semi-Monthly meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Lundberg on May 5th 1975 at 7:30 PM in the Council Chambers of the City Office <br />Bldg. Members present were as follows: Mayor Lundberg, Councilmembers Konop, Hudson, <br />Syring and otto. <br /> <br />The minutes of the May 5, 1975 meeting were reviewed the motion pertaining to the land <br />purchase request of the County should read and authorize the Mayor to execute the legal <br />documents of sale. <br /> <br />The Council reviewed the Planning Commission recommendations regarding variance request <br />on side yards to construct garages by Ken Nelson and Gary Peterson. Council had no <br />objections and approve the issuance of the bldg. permits. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Konop and seconded by Councilmember Hudson granting the issuance <br />of a 1 day (July 4, 1975) non-intoxicating on sale beer lic. to the Elk River J.C's. <br />Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />Dan Greene and Al Froehlich were in attendance for opening of the rate schedule for <br />payment plans on the City Insurance resently let for bids. <br />The following rate schedules were reviewed: <br /> <br />1 st State Insurance Agency <br />1 stNat 'I Insurance Agency <br />-see attached schedules- <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember otto awarding the City <br />Insurance bid to 1st National Insurance Agency, Dan Greene, Manager to be effective <br />June 15, 1975 subject to final approval of the policies in there final form. Motion <br />unanimously carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />Rex Oetinger Bldg. Inspector met with the CoUncil regarding Georges Super Valu he stated <br />that as of todays date he still doesn't have a set of plans or site survey of the project. <br />The Mayor said that he would contact Mr. Kreuser. <br /> <br />Skip McCombs, City Engineer met with the Council and presented his report on the Frontage <br />Road project,,' <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Otto calling for the plans <br />and specifications on the Frontage Road project. Motion unanimoUsly carried by a vote of <br />5-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Syring approving the payment <br />request #9 of Elview Const. Inc. in the amount of $27,819.90 as recommended by the architic <br />Motion unanimously carried by a vote of lv-O. <br /> <br />Moved by Couneilmember otto and seconded by Councilmember Syring approving Northwestern <br />Bells request to bury cable on Meadowvale Road and Upland Ave. Motion unanimously carried <br />by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Konop approving the preliminary <br />plot plan for Oak Hills 2nd Addition as recommended',by the Planning Commission. Motion <br />unanimously carried by a vote of 5-0. <br />
