<br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />REGULAR SEMI-MONTHLY MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF ELK RIVER <br />HELD IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS OF THE CITY OFFICE BLDG. <br /> <br />February 3, 1975 at 7:30 PM. <br /> <br />The Regular Semi-Monthly meeting of the Elk River City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Lundberg on February 3, 1975 at 7:30 PM in the Council Chambers of the City Office <br />Bldg. Members present were as follows: Mayor Lundberg, Councilmembers Burke, SYring, <br />Hudson, and Konop. <br /> <br />The minutes of the January 20, 1975 meeting were reviewed the eight paragraph was <br />corrected as follows insert the<<another'between ~words over to and a G.E. Dealer <br />delet the words refrain ~ and insert the following "if infact that he is". as <br />there were no other corrections or additions the minutes were approved as corrected. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Burke approving the <br />payment request of Elview ConstructionCo. in the amount of $33,010.46 for work <br />completed to date on the library building. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of <br />5-0. <br /> <br />The Council reviewed the recommended color scheme for the interior of the Northbound <br />Liquor Store building. The Council stated that these colors are acceptable to them <br />as per Mr. Neujahr recommendations. <br /> <br />The Council met with Dan Greene and Al Froehlich local insurance agents for the purpose <br />of obtaining their comments and recommendations on our specification for the Cities <br />insurance coverages. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Hudson authorizing the <br />Clerk-Treasurer to advertise of said insurance coverag~ids and approve the <br />specifications as changed and corrected and call for the opening of the bids for <br />March 17, 1975 at 8:00PM. Hotion unanimously carried by a vote of 5-00 <br /> <br />Lyle Swanson, City Engineer met l.dth the Council and presented the preliminary <br />assessment roll for the School Street Sewer & Watermain Extention dated January <br />31, 1975. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Burke and seconded by Councilmember Syring accepting the <br />preliminary assessment roll as presented and authorize the Clerk-Treasurer to advertise <br />calling for the public hearing on the proposed assessment for March 3, 1975 at 8:00PM. <br />Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />Hr. Swanson presented his report on the estimated cost figures for the construction of <br />a storm sewer to drain the bog area located off of Jackson Avenue and School Street. <br /> <br />Hoved by Councilmember Burke and seconded by Councilmember Hudson calling for a public <br />hearing to establish community needs in the areas of planning, housing and etc. for <br />February 18, 1975 at 8:00 PM. and authorize the Clerk-Treasurer to publish said notice <br />Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />The Council reviewed the preliminary Engineers report on the Frontage road no action <br />was taken at this time. <br /> <br />The Clerk-Treasurer was instructed to publish a notice in the paper changing our <br />next regular meeting date to the 18th of February because the 17th is a legal holiday <br />"Presidents Day". <br />
