Special City Council Minutes Page 3 <br /> July 6, 1993 <br /> LaTour Construction at $258,595.40. Terry Maurer recommended that the 1110 Council award the bid to LaTour Construction following resolution of <br /> plat concerns relating to Letter of Credit, Developers Agreement, and <br /> the plat being recorded. <br /> COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 93-32, A RESOLUTION <br /> ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT IN THE MATTER OF <br /> CHERRYHILL BLUFFS SECOND ADDITION IMPROVEMENT OF 1993 CONTINGENT UPON <br /> THE PLAT ISSUES BEING RESOLVED. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 3.3. Bid Award Mississippi Oaks <br /> Terry Maurer stated that the City received eight bids for Mississippi <br /> Oaks Phase I improvement. He indicated that the low bid was received <br /> from LaTour Construction at $250,550.05. Terry Maurer recommended <br /> authorizing the bid to LaTour Construction following resolution of the <br /> plat issues being resolved including Letter of Credit, Developers <br /> Agreement, and the plat being recorded. <br /> COUNCILMEMBER FARBER MOVED TO ADOPT RESOLUTION 93-33, A RESOLUTION <br /> ACCEPTING BID AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT IN THE MATTER OF <br /> MISSISSIPPI OAKS PHASE I IMPROVEMENT OF 1993, CONTINGENT UPON PLAT <br /> ISSUES BEING RESOLVED. COUNCILMEMBER HOLMGREN SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> THE MOTION CARRIED 4-0. <br /> 4- 3.4. Park Dedication for the Plat of Mississippi Oaks <br /> Dave Anderson, Park and Recreation Commission representative, indicated <br /> that the Park and Recreation Commission recommended the dedication of a <br /> 20 foot wide trail corridor from the trail in the southeast corner of <br /> the plat of Heritage Landing to the right-of-way of Riverview Drive in <br /> Palmer' s First Addition, with the trail to continue in future phases of <br /> Mississippi Oaks from Riverview Drive east to the right-of-way of the <br /> future Concord Street. Dave Anderson indicated that the Park and <br /> Recreation Commission also recommended that one acre of the northern <br /> portion of the floodplain included in the plat be dedicated as park in <br /> a future phase and that Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4,1Phase 2, be dedicated as <br /> park during the first phase. <br /> Gordon and Iry Moldenhauer both stated that they offered three lots, <br /> Lots 1, 2, and 3, of Block 2, to the Park and Recreation Commission, <br /> however, the Park and Recreation Commission requested four lots. He <br /> stated that Lots 1, 2, and 3, equal at least an acre of land and the <br /> fourth lot puts the amount well over one acre of land. <br /> Councilmember Scheel indicated that the Council should take into <br /> consideration the portion of the floodplain land which is being <br /> donated. <br /> Iry and Gordon Moldenhauer both indicated they are opposed to • <br /> dedicating Lot 4 of Block 2 as park property. <br />
