<br />r- <br /> <br />Don Strie as a member of the Mayors appointed Swimming Pool Committee submitted a proposal to <br />apply for a FHA Loan for the purpose of building a Community Center to include an indoor <br />Swimming Pool. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Cooper and seconded by Councilmember Hudson to authorize the <br />Swimming Pool Committee to proceed with the investigation plans for the construction <br />and financing of a Community Center including an indoor swimming pool. Motion unanimously <br />carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Herb Johnson appeared before the Council suggesting that the Council check the possibility of <br />traffic conjestion with the new parking lot now being proposed by the Legion Club. Council <br />will take this into consideration. <br /> <br />Ron Neujahr presented a proposal for building a Off Sale Liquor Store in the Northbound <br />Shopping Center. A brief discussion followed. The finance Committee was instructed to <br />study this matter and submit a recommendation regarding the possibility of constructing a <br />metal type building. <br /> <br />Moved by Mayor Lundberg and seconded by Councilmember Cooper to approve Minnesota Law 1974 <br />Chapter 537 authorizing City of Elk River to issue bonds for a Municipal Library Building. <br />Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 4-0. A copy of the resolution is attached. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember.Hudson authorizing the paying of <br />the General Government Bills as submitted by the Clerk for payment.
