<br />,.... <br /> <br />Les Derr, Ken Nelson and Darrell Mack of the Street Dept met with the Council regarding <br />their standby hours. After discussion with the members present it was decided that the <br />City would pay time and a half for Saturdays and Double time on Sundays for the hours <br />worked and each man would work his regular 40 hours during the week and only one man on. <br />for the week-end work to be effective April 1, 1974. <br /> <br />Mr. Derr and his employees will draft up a job classifications listing the duties of <br />each for the Finance Committee next schedule meeting April 8, 1974. <br /> <br />Les Derr stated that the Civil Defense siren was not working , this matter would be <br />referred to Mr. Mordal Civil Defense Director. <br /> <br />The Council approved Bob Olsons request to take a weeks vacation April 8-12 1974. <br /> <br />Mayor Lundberg will contact those persons that may be interested in serving on the <br />Tri-Cap Board for the City of Elk River. <br /> <br />The Council reviewed the various Committee reports. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember Cooper approving the payment <br />of the General Government bills as listed. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />Mayor Lundberg stated that the City should investigate the possiblity of contracting police <br />coverage for the City from Sherburne County. The Council agreed that we should at least <br />explore this avenue of approach to see what the cost factor might be. <br /> <br />No further business the meeting adjourned at 11: 10 PM. <br /> <br />\'--. <br /> <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br />
