<br />---, <br /> <br />v <br /> <br />The City Council authorized the City Engineering Firm McCombs-Knutson to <br />prepare the preliminary plans and specification for water facilities for <br />the School View Addition. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Burke approving the <br />adoption of the resolution that the City make application for a Federal and <br />State Grant for the construction of an interceptor sewer and treatment plant <br />facility. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0 A copy of the resolution <br />is attached. <br /> <br />Rex Oetinger, Bldg Inspector stated that he has a possible building code violation <br />Rex was instructed to make some type of arrangement with the property owner in <br />question to make application and meet parking space requirements. <br /> <br />Robert Olson, Chief of Police submitted a letter of suggested safety requirement <br />changes for the City. The Health and Safety Committee will review these suggestions. <br />Mr. Olson also requested to meet with the Finance Committee regarding the 5.5% <br />wape and salary increases for 1974. <br /> <br />Hayor Lundberg gave a progress report on the new Library Building Project. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Cooper and seconded by Councilman Syring approving the <br />adoption of the resolutions applying for flood insurance in Minnesota and land <br />use and control measures in flood plain areas as recommended by the City Planning <br />Commission. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0 A copy of the resolutions <br />are attached. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Syring and seconded by Councilman Burke approving the adoption . <br />of the Building -parking policy for the downtown Elk River area as recommended by the <br />City Planning Commission. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. A copy <br />of this policy is attached. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Cooper and seconded by Councilman Syring to call for bids for <br />employees Group Health and Hospitalization Insurance for January 21, 1974 at 8:00 PM. <br />and instruct the Clerk-Treasurer to advertise the calling of bids in the Sherburne <br />County Star News. Motion unaminously carried by a vote of 4-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilman Burke and seconded by Councilman Cooper approving and ratifing <br />the Library Boards resolution accepting the gift totaling $15,000.00 from Dorothy <br />Longfellow as stated in her letter of 12-30-73. Motion unaminously carried by a vote <br />of 4-0. A copy of the letter is attached. <br /> <br />The Finance Committee shall review the police patroling contract with UPA and report <br />their recommendation to the Council. <br /> <br />Mayor Lundberg declared the week of January l3-l9th as "KISS YOUR BABY WEEK" a copy <br />of the declaration is attached. <br /> <br />No further business the meeting adjourned at 10:30 PM. <br /> <br /> <br />. <br />
