For expenses, in total they are 1%more than the prior year, and 5%more than prior YTD, and <br /> are over budget YTD by 1%. <br /> For May 2018, the Electric Department has a Net Profit of$222,484 and YTD Net Profit of <br /> $1,055,405. This is ahead the budgeted monthly Net Profit of$57,205, as well as ahead of the <br /> prior year monthly Net Loss of$160,404, and is significantly ahead of prior YTD Net Profit of <br /> $297,556. <br /> Water P&L <br /> May gallons of water sold are up 31% from the prior year. For further breakdown: <br /> • Residential use up 42% <br /> • Commercial use up 21% <br /> Water Operating Revenues for May was $154,389, 30%ahead of prior year and ahead of YTD <br /> budget by 10%. <br /> Other Revenues of$60,302 are behind the prior year by 76% and behind prior YTD by 64%. <br /> The main drivers causing the prior YTD variance are Contributions from Developers and <br /> Connection Fees. Other Revenues are ahead of YTD budget by 59%. <br /> Overall, Total Revenues of$214,692 are behind the prior year by 42%, and behind prior YTD by <br /> 31%. Again, Contributions from Developers and Connection Fees being the driving force. YTD <br /> Total Revenues are ahead of budget by 21%. <br /> Expenses are more than the prior year by 3%, but are under YTD budget by 10%. <br /> For May 2018, the Water Department has a Net Loss of$26,202, which is behind last year's Net <br /> Profit of$137,622.
