<br />Kay Elliott, Jack Hetrick, Doris Anderson, Vivian Adams, Doug Pitzele, and ..... ...... <br />Richard Van Heel representing the downtown Retailers Ass'n stated to the . <br />Council that nothing has been done regarding their original parking recom- <br />mendations. Also the Police Department has been patrolling the parking lot and <br />issuing tickets with no advance warning to the Retailers. It was Buggested <br />that the Council call a general meeting with the Retailers for the purpose of <br />resolving the parking problems. The following suggestions were made. <br /> <br />1. Allow (4) four hour parking in the Municipal parking lot and allow <br />employees to use the back end of th~lot. <br />2. Angle parking on Main Street between Ring and Lowell Avenues and <br />place (2) two hour parking signs. <br />3. Retailers parking lot between Hwy #10 and Burlington Northern tracks <br />and reduce cost from $75.00 to $25.00 a year and assign the North <br />end of the Municipal parking lot to the Retailer.s(30) spaces at a <br />nominal yearly fee of $25.00. <br /> <br />Mr. Doug Pitzele complained about the Madsen Building at Jackson Avenue and <br />Railroad Drive being a safety hazard ami-that the owners should be ordered to <br />remove the building. <br /> <br />Kay Elliott complained of the Jaycees dunking stand in the City Parking Lot <br />because it creates a safety hazard. Mayor Lundberg will have Ken Nelson <br />approach Lenny Haberman to see that its removed promptly. <br /> <br />Mayor Lundberg called for a Public Meeting to be scheduled for 8:00 P.M. <br />Monday September t~e ~m ~9, 4if>9t1f.fcin~ ~HP;X~.e.~c<enct.ire~~ e~~b!t,s~r~~ <br />parking space~~ a fee of-"fJ5".06 per"Year. Reinforcing the (2) two hour parking limits on Main Street <br />between Hwy #10 and Lowell, Jackson Ave. between Hwy #10 and Main Street, <br />Jackson Place, King Ave. between Hwy #10 and Main Street, and the park <br />parking lot. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Vivian Adams suggested that the parking lot across from Adams Furniture be a <br />reserved parking lot at a set fee for employees and commuters. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember otto and seconded by Councilmember Toth approving the <br />renewal of the Eagles Club, club license. Motion unanimously carried by a <br />vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Konop approving <br />the renewal of the Legion Club, club license. Motion unanimously carried by <br />a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />IErnie Thielke met with the Council and rea.ommended that the city close the <br />On~SaleBtore at the close of business September 30, 1977 and that senority <br />would preval. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Syring and seconded by Councilmember Konop to close <br />the On-Sale store effective at the close of business September 30, 1977. <br />Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />. <br />
