Parks&Recreation Commission Minutes Page 4 <br /> May 9,2018 <br /> to order at 8:15 p.m. by Chair Anderson. <br /> 1.1 Park Assets Project Priorities <br /> Mr. Carlton led discussion regarding park asset project priorities. <br /> What type of park to build south of Miske Meadows development. <br /> Commissioners had previously stated that the park should be similar to Trott Brook Park. <br /> Commissioner Niziolek would like to get close to the lake,be a nice component. <br /> Chair Anderson shared it is nice to look at property from 30,000 feet to get better <br /> perspective, and work down to areas of detail.Asking how many parcels there were in the <br /> development. <br /> Mr. Carlton shared there is 200 acres and will not know how many parcels there will be <br /> this early on in the process. <br /> Chair Anderson said knowing the amount of property involved and park dedication <br /> involved when looking at a parcel and that it is valuable to have math done for our group <br /> to know the total impact. Cash,land and trails to be discussed.Want the big global picture <br /> after working with developer. <br /> Mr. Leeseberg,developer is submitting a plan that meets requirements and sometimes hard <br /> to do when developer only brings in 6 acres at a time and doesn't do the rest for another <br /> 15 years. <br /> Mr. Carlton stated the Parks Master Plan states what type of park you want in all areas. <br /> This meeting is to go over what type of park the commission wants in this development so <br /> that can be communicated to the developer. <br /> Chair Anderson would like two roads on two sides of park to be able to have parking. <br /> Commissioner Niziolek stated to take advantage of the lake due to its fishing, and having a <br /> trail system along the water, then the road and homes like the Lakes in Minneapolis. <br /> Chair Anderson stated to have trail all around lake. <br /> Mr. Carlton asked commissioner if they are you looking for a 7-10 acre park. <br /> Chair Anderson asked Commissioner Soltvedt and Mr. Sevcik what to look for. <br /> P O K E R`E O t 1 <br /> NATURE <br />
