School Street Draina~e Improvement The City Administrator informed the City Council that an alteration of the pro- posed drainage improvement had been made on School Street. The Administrator indi- cated that instead of two culverts, one culvert had been installed and then drains along an open ditch in City right-of-way to a natural low point on property adja- cent to School Street and then over land at that low point. The Administrator indicated that the improvement was definitely temporary in nature but it did serve to keep the water off the roadway. City Council concensus was to approve of the drainage improvement as explained by the City Administrator. 11. Red Devils Baseball Team The City Council briefly reviewed the request of the Red Devils Baseball team to improve an existing softball field for baseball purposes. The Council was somewhat concerned with the expense of adding lights to a ball field and indi- cated that this might not be feasible alternative. The City Council directed the City Administrator to refer the request to the recreation board for their review and recommendation to the City Council. 12. S & L Payment Request - McChesne,y Industrial Park COUNCILMAN TOTH MOVED APPROVAL OF THE S & L PAYMENT REQUEST FOR MCCHESNEY INDUSTRIAL PARK IN THE AMoUNT OF $37,851. 9'.
