Moved by Councilmember Engstrom <br />seconded by Duitsman approving release forms for reimbursements from E.P.A. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Toth and seconded by Councilmember Engstrom approving the <br />resolutions of the Municipal State Aid Streets. Motion unanimously carried by a <br />vote of 4-(). <br /> <br />Lyle Swanson also discussed with the Council on the condition of the old bridge <br />and to seek state funds to replace structure. State funds mapbe available for <br />replacement of bridge providing Wright County would designate County Road 130 <br />as a state aid road. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Engstrom and seconded by Councilmember Toth to adopt a <br />resolution to place the old Highway 101 bridge as a Municipal State Aid System. <br />Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 4-(). <br /> <br />Two representatives from the FairgroUIid:"'Board- met', with Council on: the' property. which <br />is owned by the Agricultural Society. <br /> <br />Moved by Engtrom seconded by Toth that two members of the Council and Fairboard <br />get together for discussion of the situation. Meyor Madsen and Councilmember Toth <br />were named to the committee. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 4..IJ. <br /> <br />Chief of Police, Joe Zerwas, met with the Council regarding his proposed budget. <br />It was recommended by the Health and Safety Committee to hire one CETA Employee. <br />It was also discussed that committe meet with Shmriff's Department to request <br />assistance in investigation of crimes. <br /> <br />Chief Zerwas was instructed that further hiring or firing w:al9.~g'ojmg to bedon.e by <br />City Council and Mayor. Any disciplinary actions of employees should be brought <br />before Health and Safety Committee. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Toth and seconded by Counci1.I!1nl8eer Engstrom to put a <br />moratorium on plats and no new plats will be accepted in the City of Elk River, <br />give Planning Commission opportunity to reconstruct zoning ordinances. Motion <br />unanimously carried by a vote of 4-(). <br /> <br />Mrs. Norman Coleman, from Ward I, was recommended to the Library Board.
