Mr. cayle Bare of Armco indicated that Armco would proceed on <br />schedule with the drawings, based on a verbal go-ahead by the City Council. <br />Mayor Madsen indicated to Mr. Gayle Bare to proceed as scheduled and the con- <br />tract award would be made at the April 7, 1980, City Council meeting. <br /> <br />7. Fire Station Land <br /> <br />Mayor Madsen indicated Loretta Moos had approached the City to purchase the <br />land adjoining the fire station for a price of $40,000. Mayor Madsen further <br />indicated that other parties were interested in the land and that the City <br />should decide now as to whether they are interested in purchasing the land <br />or not. Councilman Toth suggested there was some question as to what the City <br />owns now and where the boundaries are. Mayor Madsen suggested referring the <br />purchase of the land to the Public Safety Committee and Fire Chief, Lloyd <br />Barthel, for recommendation as to need required. Councilman Toth indicated <br />that there would no longer be enough room at the fire station for the require- <br />ments of storage the department has 'when the new truck arrives. COUNCILMAN <br />TOTH MOVED TO APPROVE THE REFERRAL OF THE PURCHASE OF THE LAND ADJOINING THE <br />FIRE STATION TO THE PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE FOR RECOMMENDATION. COUNCILMAN <br />ENGSTROM SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION PASSED 3-0. <br /> <br />8. Non-Con Items <br /> <br />A. 3.2 beer license for Elk River Country Club <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN OTTO MOVED APPROVAL OF THE 3.2 BEER LICENSE FOR ELK RIVER COUNTRY <br />CLUB. COUNCILMAN TOTH SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION PASSED 3-0. <br /> <br />B. 3.2 beer license forAl Nadeau and Keith Robideau, Crossroads Cafe <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN OTTO MOVED APPROVAL OF THE 3.2 BEER LICENSE FOR AL NADEAU AND <br />KEITH ROBIDEAU AT THE CROSSROADS CAFE. COUNCILMAN TOTH SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION PASSED 3-0. <br /> <br />9. Check Register <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN OTTO MOVED APPROVAL OF THE CHECK REGISTER. Tentative Agenda <br /> <br />The contract award for the radial gates, the fire station land purchase, and <br />an update on the status of the dam project are all items tentatively scheduled <br />for the April 7, 1980, City Council meeting. <br /> <br />There being no further business, COUNCILMAN TOTH MOVED THE MEETING BE ADJOURNED. <br />COUNCILMAN OTTO SECONDED THE MOTION.
